this one didn't grab me as hard as quickly as the first two albums, but after repeat listening it is clear how much tighter everything feels, a true maturation of a band that already hit the ground running with a distinct sound and vision. my favorite band of the last few years. so glad the KC show this tour happened!

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche.
